You know how it is, a spot of spring cleaning at home always reveals a few coins behind the sofa cushions. Well, we’ve been getting ready for our new showroom and have discovered a few gems lurking at the back of our warehouse. These are one off deals so, if you want something to set you apart from the crowd this year you’d better hurry, because once they’re gone; they’re gone.
Oh Mickey you’re so fine!
We still don’t know if it was the harlequin paint scheme or Mickey Mouse graphics which made this special edition so popular, but at the time of its release we couldn’t get enough of these machines. So much so that we struggled to meet demand and had to order more. For some reason this one never made it from the distribution hub to our showroom and it’s only because we were doing a little stocktaking that we noticed the discrepancy!
Launched to celebrate the famous mouse’s 100th birthday this collaboration saw the Vespa Primavera 50cc, 125cc and 150cc being released in a special black, red, white and yellow scheme: the same hues that have characterised the world’s most famous mouse for decades. The yellow wheels are reminiscent of Mickey Mouse’s shoes, while the black mirrors recall his
unmistakable round ears. A graphic pattern outlining the character’ silhouette decorates both sides of the scooter as well as the front. Finally Mickey Mouse’s signature could not be missed, and featured on both the saddle and the front shell.
Thankfully this 125cc version Mickey is now out of hiding, fully checked over and awaiting its new owner at only £4,599. We think this may be the last available ‘factory fresh’ machine in the UK, so don’t miss out.
Wonderful in white
One thing we can never accuse the Vespa design team of is being stuck in the past. In recent years we’ve seen special edition machines created be several contemporary artists and this Vespa Sprint 125 white edition was produced in cooperation with Canada’s favourite songster, Justin Bieber.
The design takes the Primavera’s clean lines to a whole new level, with pretty much everything, other than the tyres, being finished in white. However, this is more than a blank canvas, look closely and you’ll see ‘flame’ graphics, their satin finish contrasting with the high gloss paint.
When released this edition retailed at £5,150, but we’re offering this previously unregistered 125cc example at only £3,999. At that price you'll be singing as you ride!
